The summit is one of the largest annual investment events, and is planned to host some 350 speakers, in an excess of 30 sessions.
In his capacity as the Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF), Hon. Yaw Owusu-Brempong is part of government's delegation to the prestigious event, one that holds so much in promise for his outfit, VCTF, and by extension, the Asutifi South constituency.
While there, Hon. Owusu-Brempong would on his own be exploiting opportunities aimed at drawing investment into the Asutifi South district/constituency. He would also be interacting with Asutifi South indigenes resident in the United Kingdom, in an effort to get the Asutifi South diaspora to contribute their little, directly and meaningfully, to bring impactful development to the area.
In less than 3 years since his appointment to be part of the turnaround agenda of His Excellency the President, with respect to state institutions charged with the management of money and other financial duties, Hon. Owusu-Brempong has distinguished himself as a financial management guru, having taken the Venture Capital Trust Fund from being a conduit for corruption, theft and mismanagement, to one of profit, promise and believability.
It therefore comes as no surprise that, the World Bank is injecting a further US$45 million into the operations of the VCTF, thanks to the efforts of the CEO, Yaw Owusu-Brempong.
