Affectionately called Bra Yaw or Wofa Yaw, and widely known as Yaw Broni, the Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF) has officially met with honourable members of the Asutifi South Constituency Executive Committee (CEC) to declare his intention to them. At the well-attended soiree with the executives, Hon. Employing his witty grasp of information technology, the charismatic Yaw Broni made the conscious effort to take the office holders through a history of the party’s performance since the inception of real participatory parliamentary elections. The presentation also threw into the spotlight the party’s major and obscure challenges that have eluded us the Asutifi South seat since the years 1997-2001 and 2005 till date, while proffering practicably workable solutions to the array of drawback challenges spelt out.

The engagement with the constituency officers culminated in an atmosphere of hope for the fortunes of the party at the next elections and the years after, and reaffirmed Hon. Yaw Broni’s pedigree as one who understands the party and constituency, commits to both entities without fail, and is prepared well in advance to sustain the party and constituency as vital intertwined parts of the entire Ahafo project, as envisaged by both the national and regional secretariats of the NPP.

Honourable members of the CEC took turns to ask pertinent questions surrounding the consummate gentleman’s desire to lead the party into 2020 as the elected parliamentary candidate on the party’ ticket. They also took turns to bid Wofa Yaw just Godspeed in his bid to win the party’s candidacy, and to lead the party to victory in the elections of 2020, and well beyond.
